There were 100,000 guests on the site yesterday (not all at the same time), almost all of them in the UK. It's allowed Mick to tune up the site a bit for high demand. If anyone ever looks at how many people are online it might appear much lower than normal from now on. It was showing figures for the last 15 minutes but he's reduced it to 2 minutes because the problem wasn't the server crashing, it was the list of active users/guests getting too big. This morning there were about 400 more users on the site than at the end of the transfer window and it was running better than it did then.
