My approach is a little different in that the main task is to come out winning on the bets. This could mean only wagering £5 on the last race if I'm £10 up rather than sticking it all on thinking it doesn't matter. If I'm down after a couple of races then my bets tend to get smaller to try to recoup losses gradually rather than fall into the trap of blasting your way out of trouble. Finally there is no lucky last so unless you intend to quit gambling for good then there will always be another day for things to come good. Take your losses on the chin and cheer yourself up by having a bottle of something nice with friends is my motto.
