Norway - now close your ears and eyes H - F*ck the Award - you have toppped 10,000 - wheyyyy heeeey all round
i might nip back to the walking shop where i bought the trainers and see what they say...they might be able to suggest something, or maybe tell me that the trainers they sold me are not fitting properly..which might have something to do with the cramp? lol...or am i clutching at straws?
No - shoes are sooooo important - but be careful as any new ones have to be worn in and you are running out of time
i know...definitely running out of time for a new pair, i think i'm just going to have to suffer for my art! lol
Nice one Leo Hornette I`m with Leo here wouldnt change them now ,but you could maybe try those knoll/boots sole inlays or ask them if there is anything you can do! I would suggest a quick chat with W-Y ask him if he or Mrs W-Y had a similar problem! I walk miles with the dogs (and I know this is totally different) but I dont bother with my trainers ,or walking boots, I prefer my old work shoes, as there extremely comfy! Think of a steel toe capped sandal ,but with ankle support and your getting though! I guess what I`m saying is have you got an older pair of footwear that was really comfy that maybe could be re-soled or repaired somehow!
Sadly i don't Norway, all my former comfy shoes are so worn out and completely unrepairable. i only have heels after that! lol...i'll go down to the shop before next friday and see if they have any suggestions, and meanwhile, on the shorter walks, i might just wear something else. i've been wearing flip flops all week to keep the blisters from popping! lol
H - It might be worth getting a new pair of trainers and use them on shorter walks to wear them in and see how they go. If they feel good and no further damage then wear them on one of your longer walks and again see how they go. Make sure you tell them in the shop that they are for Power Walking on roads as the design is a little different to jogging trainers - they have different support built in. Both of us wear New Balance trainers who have models that are better suited for Power Walking - but I am sure other makes do as well. Check out this from the NB web-site, it has more info: http://www.newbalance.com/performance/walking-toning/walking-shoes-vs-running-shoes/ We had a few small blisters in training and some monsters when we finished, but not too bad. Hope it helps - but make sure you have a good chat with the people in the shop as they should know their stuff. We go to Up & Running at the bottom of the High Street...
I much prefer the Aussie term 'thongs' to 'flip flops' - if nothing else, it conjures up some delightful images
If your wearing your thong on your feet .........maybe your flip flop is where the thong should be..... What aways amused me in aussie slang was route/root
Should belong on the Some Fun for a Friday thread - but what the heck... What do you call a French beach shoe? Philip Flop.. I'll get my coat..
Thanks so much w-y...i go to Runner's World in Eastcote. Most of my friends have used them and they do seem to know their stuff. Not sure whether they got this right though...if you like i can post a pic of the blister, it's gorgeous lol.
