IT was Cardiff, he tired to let the ball run out and got it all wrong and allowed the Cardiff player to cross for their consolation goal
It’s official now then , shame, I liked him , as previously said he did make mistakes but still young , wish him all the best for the future and if he ever comes back to the gate , unlikely but who knows , I personally will give him a good reception.
That's my suspicion, but none the less, if he had time on his contract, you'd think we might've battled more to keep him and squeezed more than the reported €2.5m fee out of them...
I like him as well, but, at 25, he isn't that young!! I like to think that by that age he would have the basics mastered. By that, I mean that when there is a need to welly it, that is what he should do!!!
Yeah agree with this, I think deep down LJ wanted him out. There were rumours of it for ages and I thought it was pretty nailed on that he was on his way out in January, but it didn't go through in time?
To be honest to get roughly £2.2m for a player who never estabilished himself as a first team regular is bloody good business. He came on off the back of the Iceland Euro 2014 hype (in which he didn't play a minute by the way) and because he came from Juventus I think everyone expected bigger and better things from him. He was quite good most of the time, but you always knew a major mistake was never far away (as he showed against Argentina) which is really unsettling for a back 4. I wish him well and hope he fulfills the potential he showed for us.
