On the transfer budget, by my count City spent around £16m on the players brought in last year plus £8.5m for RvW. I'd be very surprised if there isn't a similar amount to spend this year. From that, City have probably spent around £2m on Garrido, and could spend £5m on Toivenon, £5-6m on Hooper, £2-3m on a new LB, £3-4m on a CB which would run to around £17-20m in total. That might leave enough money for Nathan Redmond, but probably not enough for another marquee signing like Diego Capel. That said, City would still have some money for January, and a vacant place in the 25 man squad as Redmond is under 21. That would do me!
