It seems that West Ham just haven't got it right in their new home, reports say the segregation has issues and home fans are turning up with tickets for seats that dont exist. Seems Gold & Co. have rushed in before dotting the i's and crossing the t's, so too speak.
The dildo twins & the Wicked Witch who married one of the many non Irish Irishmen. I think his dad had a red setter.
That Chelsea game away in 1985 was something else..How I avoided being arrested that day was luck more than judgement.. A mate of mine who did get arrested got locked up in the local police station. The bus from Ryhope waited for him until the police let him out, and when he did get out a Chelsea fan just happened to be walking past at the same time putting his fingers up at the bus. My mate fresh out of the cells proceeded to punch the **** out of him before getting on the bus and we drove away..Bloody madness.. For the record there was a fair bit of bother at the Boro home game which was as good as orchestrated by the police who let known Boro hooligans go straight from the train station into near by bars without any escort at all.
Born too late to really witness any proper hooligan activity. Seen the odd twat acting like a twat but that's not exclusive to at the footy. Don't understand the idea of fighting over football really, find it a bit embarrassing, makes about as much sense to me as to why people listen to Russell Brand.
That's the worst trouble I've seen inside a stadium for a game I've actually been to. Seen loads outside mind. A pretty hectic night all in all. I was just pleased to get back north. Blood streaming down my face, trying to stem it with someones snotty hanky. They dropped me off at Dryburn & they put six stitches in my eye. ****ing coach got bricked coming out of London too.
Yes it was pretty bad..The bother I had was outside the game after the match.. A large group of chelsea fans charged down with the intention of smashing up the coaches and beating up a few stragglers, but didn't realise that around 4000 Sunderland fans were locked out the ground that day and they got absolutely mauled..
Been involved in trouble a few times - once was as an 8 or 9 year old sat near upton park having food with my Dad and some of our mutual friends before an away game - vivid memories as the west ham fans came in to the pub and started on the SAFC fans. I watched a grown bloke (I would say in his 30's) pick up and throw my mate (younger that I was at the time) across the pub. Broken arm and dislocated shoulder. Seen and been involved in skirmishes (especially as a student whne I travelled all over to watch the lads) but the above gives my reason for my hatred of West Ham and why I hope the ****ers get relegated and go out of business!!
Seen loads in the 80s and early 90s home and away. The mags away outside central station in 93 springs to mind. Stoke away in late 90s. But the worst by far that i ever saw was Gary Bennets testimonial in july 93 against Rangers! They brought around 15,000 fans on a hot summers day. I wasn't in the city centre where there was alsorts kicking off but what i saw on Roker avenue was pitched battles working its way from the wheatsheaf/terminus down to the traffic lights outside the Fort and Howard arms. There were loads of Chelsea fans there aswell who had joined up with Rangers but from what i saw sundland fans gave as good as they got! Portsmouth were also nutters when ever they came to Roker park.
