Defender can wear scrum caps. I think it is chivu? For inter Milan who has worn one for a few years. If rugby players can wear them and still play, I'm sure a football player would be fine. I don think seaborne will play this season. He has been laid up for two months, so he'll have to get his fit was back, even then hell be behind Hoover. Going along those lines, if we go up, he may have already made his last appearance for the saints.. A nice pessimistic view!!
How can you wear a skull cap and head the ball properly though? That was my point. Goalkeepers and rugby players are fine to wear one, I know that. They don't have to head a ball! Surely, as an outfield player, if you went for a header, the ball could go off your head at an unpredictable angle due to the nooks and crannies on the actual skull cap...
Of course. He's a Premier League footballer, so that means, in the words of Jerry Maguire... Show me the money..!
good to see seaborne recovering, but i honestly cant see his saints career lasting too much longer - he wont be back match fit untill at least January, in which time we will probably have signed another CB, Hooiveld and then Aaron Martin for the future
I'm not sure if Martin will ever be good enough for the premiership, think it will be a step to far for him. If we get promoted of course.
BBC have now said that Saints have begun talks about turning Hoiveld move permanent http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/15752857.stm
Luton's Steve Foster and Palace's Eric Young were CB's who always used to wear McEnroesque headbands back in the day
He may need to do it, but when Kelvin races out of his area, he makes heading the ball to a teammate look easy.
