You may want to look up the spelling..got in first before Stereotypist. Come on guys, leave it out. If anyone is interested 100% of voters would like to buy Jos from Celtic!

Not StBirdseye!

BTW guys have you never argued with a Scotsman before? It's just not worth the hassle. Leave it alone or he-she will linger 4ever!

Ex wives family from Dundee so know all about the jocks. Easy to wind up and great fun,,plus it's boring down here there all into rugby league, urggh

Like Charlie Adam, Stephen Crainey, Ross Wallace, Chris Burke, Gavin Rae, Barry Robson, Kevin Thomson, Ross McCormack et al? And that's just the Scottish players.

All played for the Old Firm and left or well sold because they weren't good enough or were surplus to requirements.

That list doesn't really do you much justice. Adam and McCormack yes, and to a lesser extent Wallace and Burke. But that's it.

For me, you just need to look at Boro and Strachan, and how badly they fared. Guys like Scott McDonald, Barry Robson, Lee Miller, Kevin Thompson, Andrew Halliday, Stephen McManus, Kris Boyd & Willo Flood. Pretty much all next to useless, and were massive flops at this level. Even now, I would only take McManus from that lot to join us at Saints (and even then, I don't think I'd start him ahead of Fonte or Hooiveld).

The problem is, and again I mean no disrespect, the quality of the SPL is just not as good as people from both Scotland and England think it is. And before anyone starts having a go, I really am sorry to say that, because 30 years ago, the highest levels of both Scottish and English football were more or less on a par. To a certain extent, you could also say the highest levels of Scottish football were up there with the best in Europe - The Lisbon Lions of the 60s for example. Sadly, today, Scottish football has been left behind - just like Dutch and French football has aswell. The reason being, the influx of many quality players from all corners of the globe to the top leagues of England, Spain, Italy and Germany. The rest of Europe hardly get a look in. Long gone are the days of all of the top European leagues being largely nationalised.

Bullshit. The reason is money, simple as that.

Jos was lured here by promises we were a tropical paradise compared with Scotland. Often wondered what that film is that Nicola shows prospective players...always thought it was of our fantastic team and facilities, but I'm beginning to suspect it shows The Maldives<laugh>

You're more than welcome to him. The fact that he's flopped at so many other clubs indicates the lack of quality of the player but perhaps says more about the lack of quality in the Championship.

How can you compare Scottish L1 to the Championship ? If Rangers and Celtic were to play in England, they would be bottom half premiership/top half Championship- the same as 25 English clubs. Good news though- you would not sneak into europe by the back door, then get your arse handed to you by a nothing team

If you actually believe that then you're not too bright kid.

Completing the Top 10 are Joe Lewis (Tottenham Hotspur, £2.7bn), Denis O’Brien (Celtic, £1.87bn), Stanley Kroenke (Arsenal, £1.85bn), the Glazer family (Manchester United, £1.53bn) and Bernie Ecclestone (QPR, £1.4bn).

So Celtic have O'Brien worth £1.87bn and Dermot Desmond worth £1.5bn and that's awkward <laugh>

the liebherr family are worth many billions stereo <laugh>

Face it big boy, the scottish league is a poor mans Spanish league- without any quality. 10 years ago Rangers and Celtic were quite good, but do you honestly think that you could compete in the English League. We are a team on the up- not by spending big bucks but by building a solid team with youth and by giving the love back to older players (Jos)
