OMG i had to laugh at the lack of quality in the championship statement! The scottish league is one of the poorest leagues there is,awful standard so no matter whether the championship lacks quality or not it still has a damn sight more than the SPL.Why would Celtic want him back anyway? when we signed him all i heard was that he is crap and thank god he's gone,he'll do well to move down here to a decent club who gives him a chance.
A lot of players have left the SPL because they felt it was too easy for them, they have joined teams in the championship and flopped miserably because they can't handle the step up.
Like Charlie Adam, Stephen Crainey, Ross Wallace, Chris Burke, Gavin Rae, Barry Robson, Kevin Thomson, Ross McCormack et al? And that's just the Scottish players.
All played for the Old Firm and left or well sold because they weren't good enough or were surplus to requirements.

As Fran says, the Chairmen will do their deal or not. I think he's fine, but is he good enough for the Premier League..? Nobody knows. We'll need more data before we make the leap. If it's a case of Name Your Price, then we'll decide whether we want to afford him or not. It's most certainly not a case of can't.
