Places we are almost guaranteed to drop points this season:

    - Anfield
    - Etihad
    - Old Trafford
    - Hawthorns
    - Goodison Park
    - WHL
    - Stamford Bridge

Feel free to add to the list, anyone!

I can't see you dropping points at WHL this season, so think positive

If they do turn up there and still lose, the explosion
from ArsenalFanTV will be Hiroshima-esque. :)

Depends if you see a draw as dropped points at some of those grounds.

To be honest with the unpredictable nature of the league, we could win or draw a fair few of those games. Having Sanchez back will make a huge difference to our attack.

Well we had a good goal incorrectly disallowed for off side, and two fairly decent penalty shouts turned down, so we were pretty unlucky from that point of view.

Apart from that, they were pretty defensive and we had most of the possession, particularly after they scored. Last 20 minutes it was pretty much one-way traffic.

Mark Hughes is a **** - and Stoke will go down.
We seem to always struggle against Stoke as we aren't clinical in front of goal.
Welbeck missed a sitter and the ref missed a penalty award, and the lino flagged offside a goal - very frustrating and typical Arsenal at Stoke

We can point at the offside call (which there isn't a consensus about) or the penalties we should have had, but fact of the matter is, we had more than enough opportunities in that game to put it to bed and we failed miserably. The fact Stoke won that game with a clean sheet says absolutely nothing about how good they are and says it all about just how bad we were. To get in behind their defence so many times and not get a single goal is unacceptable at this level, especially if we want to regain our place in the Champions League.

I've had another look at the winning goal and I am extremely pissed with Monreal. Yes, Xhaka lost the ball when we had committed most of our men forward, but there was ample time between him losing the ball and the goal. All Monreal had to do was track the run of Jese. Didn't need to make a challenge. Didn't need to overstretch himself. Didn't need to do any last-ditch defending. Just follow his movement. Had he done this, that goal would not have happened.

People may say "oh well it's not his fault he was played out of position" - and whilst that is true - it is just basic defending 101. At the age of 31, having played 175 games for us in defence, he should have the experience and the know-how to do something so simple.

Obviously it's not just Monreal's fault that we lost the game, but he didn't do his job when it mattered. He was massively culpable for the goal we conceded.

Whats the point in playing a back three if your only going to field 1 or 2 actual centre backs?

Glad I missed the game yesterday.

So our defensive line up for our first two games..

    CB - Holding ( CB)
    CB - Monreal (LB)
    CB - Kolasinac(LB)
    LWB -Chamberlain (MF)
    RWB - Bellerin (RB)

    CB - Mustafi (CB)
    CB - Monreal (LB)
    CB - Kolasinac (LB)
    LWB/RWB -Chamberlain
RWB/LWB - Bellerin although was moved to the left.

SOO ****ing stupid. I keep saying we need a tall centreback like Van Dijk but to be honest i don't think Wenger would play him.

Congratulations on your win. Whilst we're battling it out with the rest of the top dogs in the league and attempting to win trophies, you enjoy your relegation scrap with your dour manager and ****ty stadium <ok> Because based on that performance, you're not going to be staying in the division come next season.

Tic tok. The Championship beckons Mr. Neanderthal :1980_boogie_down:

Fooking hell coming from someone who lives in London which is 95 percent bookies and kebab shops. Quite possibly the biggest ****e hole in the uk. Only good thing is it's good to keep all of the scummy ****ers together in one area aka London. People been saying we are going to get relegated for the past 8 years. Whilst we have teams like Arsenal to play for easy 3 points we aren't going anywhere. Enjoy the Europa dick wad.

Fair enough. You seem to have our number whenever we come to your place for whatever reason. Shame you don't get a trophy for that.

Want to know what it's like to win a proper trophy?
