I hope it was a nice day at the Valley for those fans still attending. The weather certainly seemed most pleasant. Nice to finish the home season with a win. I think that's nine league victories at the Valley this campaign? Eleven fewer home wins than Ipswich. I know we can't all get promoted. But in three seasons down in L1 Charlton haven't even come close to the ghost of a play-off chasing run. And there's no sign that we will for at least another three. Six players aside, our squad is full of failures. Not fit for purpose. And some not even fit to wear the shirt. 2023-24 will be the first time CAFC has been in the 3rd Division for more than three straight seasons since 1924-25. Ninety nine years.
Watched the stream at home up to ht. Second half was on a train for the local team away day, and eifi was crap. Walked up a mountain to watch a great non league game with 20 fellow crazies. I love football, but Charlton were average again. Nothing more. We need an overhaul. Mean while, Spanish non league has 8 games to run. Love it. Groundhopping on the Costa brava.
