I put this up early because I miss having a Tuesday game. The weather forecast is not good, so the game must be in doubt. We know there is undersoil heating, but last time it was called for the boilers weren't installed, and Douchatelet still owns the ground. If the game is on it will be interesting to see what Lee Bowyer does with his two wingers.
After saturday, my personal iew is that we can easily repeat the starting line up. There should be a bit of confidence floating around finally, as the 2-0 wn was well deserved, so fingers crossed we can begin to go on a bit of a run.
I'd like to see the same side again, but have given up hope of Bowyer playing the same team 2 games in a row.
I’m decidedly cagey again after Saturdays optimism. Gills will make it a tough game. I hope we go with the same line up, plenty of fight in there.
Our Landlord will not have fixed the undersoil heating - he'd put Ebenezer Scrooge to shame. With temperatures barely getting a degree or two above freezing all week, and dropping at night, a frozen pitch must be pretty likely. If the Club says the heating does work I'll be astonished, but happy. Let's see where we are on Friday... (frozen stiff I expect)
Going by LLB's presser the back 4 will still be the same, don't want to rush Famewo, expecting lots of high balls. Fingers crossed Pearce doesn't give away a penalty then. Valley Pass is an excellent tenners worth now, including guests like Steve Brown, Robbo Garry Nelson, and Curbs every game. And Scott Minto is a proper presenter. Just another indication of TS's positive approach to improving the club all round. There's also LLB's interview at the end, he's calmed down a bit, fortunately.
Even with the crap footy sometimes I really look forward to the Valley Pass , the wife now realises that it really is pointless trying to get me to do things after 2:30 on a Saturday and she even brings the beers in now
How did you manage that. My missus still thinks the phrase 'well you could watch it later is acceptable for live football.
It’s taken months of training and sulking- but ultimately doing what she tells me to on Saturday mornings
