Even Millar looked a shadow of himself today and although he sometimes lacks the final ball he always gives 100% normally
Bottom line is that we never at any point looked like winning. For the second time this season Pratley got a red when we were trying to get back into a game. The second yellow could have been a straight red. There are so many things wrong with us. Not just the major things which result in us conceding a goal. Too many to go into, and anyway dinner's ready
In the normal workplace. If you don't want to work for me then f*** off. However, behind that the question needs to be aimed at the guvnor, "why has it got to that situation?"
Hello everyone yesterday was terrible but it has been like that for last 20 games or so. As team we look disjoint from front to back and style of play is just go long to Stockley and hope someone gets on the flick on. Pratley and Shinnie lost the battle inn the middle of the park but what do you expect they do not have the legs to get back and forward. Lee bowyer needs to take look at himself because he knows this e not good enough and the players are capable of more of course but he gets the credit when we win so he needs to take the sick when we don't win. He can't keep public call out players and he said he can't just become a bad manager in the last three months but I have seen it happen to lots of other manager so yes it can happen.
Greetings Reds99, welcome onboard. Lee Bowyer has been hinting that this squad is not good enough, but there must be more to it than that. He's also suggested these players were all we could get in the bizarre 'summer' transfer widow last year (and by implication that he wanted better). Something doesn't add up. LB is also sounding very defensive. He must be aware his position isn't safe now despite claims that TS is fully backing him. There must be some discord in the dressing room now. Four players hauled off at half time. That's just not normal, even for a team low on confidence. It's frustrating not knowing what is really wrong. Bowyer was able to live with Duchatelet and ESI - but not Ged Roddy and Thomas Sandgaard? Right now we have an owner and a manager who are both very short of experience. Others have wondered why Curbs cannot help us out in some way. Not necessarily with a full time job - but as a trusted advisor?
getting curbs in would be the best solution. whenever he had a bad run, he'd reset. grind out a 0-0 and build on it. it'd be interesting to see who is out of contract in the summer again as i now think 90% of this squad is not good enough for the standard we expect. i think that is what LB referred to yesterday when answering about why they aint playing. they've bottled it and minds are already elsewhere. as angry at some of the lineups this year and the lack of bringing in a defender in NOVEMBER, i still think LB deserves backing. the players need to take responsibility now. it's them shipping the goals, not running, not defending, getting sent off.

A bsolutely no need for Bowyer to say publicly that he walked into the dressing room afterwards and told one player that he was dropped next game because he was costing us too many goals. You don't need to be Einstein to work out that it's Oshilaja. In the pre-match chat Lisbie revealed how Curbs did it, they called it curly-finger Friday, when a player who was getting dropped would get called up to Curbs' office, where he'd be told in private. Curbs himself joked that he used to get Mervyn DAy to tap the player on the shoulder. That's how it's done, respectfully. And respect works both ways. Or not, as the case may be.
The transfer window last summer was the fault of no one. We didn't start looking until autumn when Sandgaard got the transfer embargo lifted, and even then the salary cap meant we were shopping for freebies. But some of the signings have horribly underperformed. Ben Watson was okay in the championship last summer, but way off the pace now. The wreck is horrible. Bowyer can't be blamed for some of the disaster yesterday. Prayley basically got himself sent off, Stockley had a good goal chalked off (again) and Watson gave them a cheap, if debateable penalty. But we've been on the slide for months. Madisson and Williams turned in good performances only to be dropped and then shunted on, which most fans accepted. So we lost a couple of experienced pros in January , and the replacements have been average, or underplayed. Would a new coach improve things? Probably, but these players are not performing, and any incoming manager will need to start from scratch. I sort of feel Bowyers time is up, but there is also the Ged Roddy situation. Has he created problems behind the scenes? What a mess.
After the Posh game @Minxy came on here to say how disappointed she was in how physical Bow had got Charlton playing.... she didn't receive a good response ..... now the Blackpool Gazette is saying exactly the same thing.... the players seem to be confusing physicality with commitment to the shirt... Another win, another clean sheet, ill-discipline and red card drama: Matt Scrafton's verdict on Blackpool's magnificent win against NINE-man Charlton | Blackpool Gazette
I'll be surprised if the appeal against Aneke's red card is successful. There may not have been any intent on his part, but referees are told not to go by intent these days. The way things are going the club will get fined for their disciplinary record.
