This is embarrassing but I’d still rather say I’m a Charlton supporter than a Millwall supporter- that says it all really
No-one who has been watching Charlton can defend our performances. Getting outclassed by teams in the middle, teams at the bottom, a shocking disciplinary record. And we're getting worse.
There is no defending what's happening. Four subs at half time. Two red cards. Two shots, none on target. Now we're without our top scorer for I don't know how many games. 4 is it? Charlton are heading for League Two unless a manager comes in who can force this shower of ****e who are disgracing our shirt to play football. Those players are an utter disgrace.
They are appealing Aneke's red card. There is no way I can defend that display. I have tried to be positive but I can't defend the players or the Manager, especially after hearing his post match interview.
We're too far away from relegation worries. However, I am struggling more and more to give a defence of Bowyer. It would not be a surprise if there was a parting of the ways should this dismal run continue.
Someone saying that Sandgaard doesn't want to pay off Bowyer's contract. Something needs to happen and fast.
One point from our last four games. Unless we improve from that form, Charlton will finish the season on 48 points. That could be low enough to see us relegated. And there is no sign of improvement. Every performance is worse than the one before. We might as well field the academy kids. At least they would be proud to wear the shirt. And when they lose it really would be men against boys - instead of just looking like that. I am sickened this evening.
I can't believe that Harness is the only Academy product good enough to get in that squad. It's hard to believe from what I've seen of Jaiyesimi that he was properly scouted. He looks like he doesn't want to get his shorts dirty, and with Millar starting to fade we're back to the diamond. At least Morgan might get a game that way. Not excusing the performance, but We did have a goal wrongly disallowed, and the second penalty was a dive.
