A fairly meaningless game on Easter Monday now, although not for Sunny, who are deep in relegation trouble.

Who would you prefer Charlton yo meet in the Play Off semi - Sunderland or Portsmouth?

For me it’s a no brainier - we need to be travelling to Fratton Park for that first leg, not the Stadium of Light for the second.

Memo to Lee Bowyer - keep picking your strongest team

 

We are 5th … we will finish 5th after yesterday's results.

Bowjackson needs to start planning for play offs now... if resting players for our last three games is the correct thing to do then so be it... we can't afford to have any more players banned from the play offs like 5'3" is!

Perhaps get some game time into J F-C and Page

We have no control now over who finishes 2nd, 3rd & 4th so we just need to look after our own team... this period is now a sort of mini pre season for the play offs and you would never suggest that we always play our best team in pre season games would you?

 

Yes, because this isn’t a pre season - these are competitive games which our 3 remaining opponents are desperate to win to stay up. Imagine if we lost all 3 after resting players.

 

Imagine if Lyle Taylor got banned from the play offs like 5'3" has?

I would prefer to go into the play offs with Lyle Taylor up front than having won our last 3 games.

 

Taylor is a possible exception if Vetekole is fit. But that would also mean Josh Parker playing. The rest of the team picks itself, although doesn’t Solly’s suspension start on Monday?

 

5'3" was also sent off against Barnsley (?) in December so this is a 4 game ban.

Page may have to play on Monday if we do not have any other fit left backs to play! J F-C can easily replace Cullen/Aribo to prove his fitness … we can play Pearce and give the BFG a rest … there are many options …. we could even say to Fosu that if he wants to play in play offs then he has one last chance to show us what he did last season

 

5'3" is the same age as FHB … he gets to the tackles as quickly as he can.

 

It looks like Vetokele will be out of Monday's game. Bowyer has said if Purrington is unfit he will play Page. I am a bit torn now about playing our best team for the next three games. I think there is a case for resting our key players, but I can also see a case for hitting the Play offs running.

We are not good enough to rotate players IMO.

The 3 opposition managers have every right to be p1ssed off if we start mucking about.

It’s not fair on our fans including the 2,500 going to Gillingham away.

I don’t want to see the likes of Parker & Fosu -they are krap

 

I will also be travelling to Gillingham and I demand to see the under 21s.
I'm also hoping the away game is the 2nd leg

 

I'd rather he played Fosu than Parker. And he could try Marshall at RB.

 

Tickets will be easy enough to get hold of for Monday.

 

I suppose with us confined to the play offs Royson will be giving this one a miss

We have appealed 5'3"'s red card so if appeal isn't heard prior to Monday's match he may play against Scunny?.... big risk of missing both play off games now and may miss the final if the appeal is considered frivolous
