Now that the boring international break is over, let’s get back to doing what this forum does best. Talking Bollox
Welcome back Kristian Bielik. He deserves an excellent reception from all Charlton fans on Saturday for his heroics last season.
Charlton: 1 win and 3 defeats in the last five, Derby: 2 wins and unbeaten in the last five. Despite league positions and home advantage I'd say that makes Charlton the underdogs. A draw would seem most likely. If Derby win by two clear goals they'll go above us in the table.
This is the sort of game we win against the odds.... it's the ones we should win that we do badly in.
The Bielik loan was a huge success. For us, because he helped us to go up. For Bielik because he was able to strut his stuff and get a lucrative move. For Arsenal because we put him in the shop window and improved him as a player, enabling them to get £10m for him. Trebles all round.
Team for Saturday Phillips Solly Lockyer, Pearce, Purrington Pratley Cullen, Gallagher, Williams Leko, Bonne Subs Amos Sarr, Matthews, Fields, Oztumer, Hamed Kayal
Pratley has a wealth of Championship experience. More perhaps than the entire rest of the squad put together? Personally I never doubted Pratley's experience, but I did doubt his stamina and fitness when we first signed him. However it seems he sets an example to the younger players with his training and remarkable fitness for his age. Apparently puts some of the others to shame.
