I don't hate them as much as when we were in the same division. I just used to hate that 'Come on you R's' crap and then calling themselves 'Hoops', that used to bug me. However i got over that after going to one of the games and seeing their fans. I then felt sorry for them. They are not the real thing. Anyway its back to hating Chelsea again for me.
Well, I'm happy enough - always been good games between us, and I've always had good banter with you guys on various different forums. 'looking forward to it ... think QPR will be favourites but happy to be rubbing shoulders more as equals now (I hope) because last time we were in the championship together we didn't get a look-in, you weren't title winners for nothing. I'm not personally bugged at all by the 'hoops' stuff, if you'd have suffered like me seeing the team in the old 4th division you would have given an arm and a leg to imagine the club ever getting to the top tier - and for a second time...
daibo it's not a dig mate, i actually think Reading will be a tough game for both sides (normally is). I just wanted a 'Burton' at home for an easier game. As for banter, as i said before with Reading (Hoops R's thing) is in the past. I now concentrate all my dislike against my old foe Chelsea.
the other Reading fan site has it already announced on Tuesday 25th, but I've done a google search and the date comes up nowhere yet ...
If there's one reason to prefer Sparky over COLIN its this one. I just couldn't stomach the "throwing" of Cup ties during his reign. It was incomprehensible. I notice he took it seriously this Season though. Papa Smurf must've been in his ear-hole about earning an extra few shillings by progressing.
Are you talking about that 'Hod Nob' site? I read a few posts on there knocking QPR and our ground. Sadly diab0 they have short memories and most probably don't know Elm Park.
yep, there seems very little moderation there and reception given to new members leaves much to be desired, so a number of fans who want normal chat have changed ships ... we've got a lot in 18-25 and 50+ age-group but not so many in between, yet the mix seems to work really good
weird site that. I read a few threads and cannot believe all the bitter posts about QPR? What a bunch of deluded muppets? Most of the stuff they said about us is rubbish. The best one is the 'Rumours' bit. Tell me they didn't believe Defeo would sign? , oh well i can see the funny side. Anyway back to the game, hopefully QPR will have £15 and £10 tickets again. TBH i wanted a lower team but it will be good to meet Reading before we play you in the league.
So far the only declared fixture:- Capital One Cup - Third Round Leeds United v Everton 19:45 Tuesday 25th September 2012 Yes, this should be a "massive" test for Colin & Paddy with a 25,000+ attendance.
Strangely, nothing at all yet about dates dates from our side of things; a bit poor IMO, fans have to plan equally to the teams! http://www.readingfc.co.uk/tickets/away-games
QPR Official Site today: "Royals clash on Wednesday 26th September at Loftus Road ... THE RâS Capital One Cup third round tie against Reading will take place on Wednesday 26th September.
