So the question is... Is there any real correlation with attendance and winning? (when you take into account anomalies like losing 5-1 to Chelsea in a match we were never realistically going to win) I think that there is (tenuous though it may seem) but of course I accept that there are many other factors* that can be involved but I am working on a simplistic tool here.
*e.g. weather, available players, the Warnock effect, etc.
I think (from at a glance) that a higher attendance gives us a better chance of winning or even getting a point (I know, I know, not exactly mind-blowing). A limited paw through the limited stats may at least indicate this. I just found it interesting. It just highlights that you have to all be together to do well, fractious relations affect the players and ultimately results (again I accept this is not exactly news).
I would be more than happy for anyone's comments on the above, or indeed more in depth analysis. (I am aware there are 2 home games left. 2 wins at >20,000 attendance would make interesting reading!)
All I can safely say is Welcome Brian and thank you for being positive and mot a moaning old gimboid like the previous. This is a nice feeling and also Leeds playing football is nice to see.
Nice weather too
well done Brian!
