Was thinking earlier what it would be like if teams were restricted to players they had home produced. Our team today would include

Bale, Baird, Shaw, Bridge
Oxo, Dyer, JWP, Surman
Walcot Best

Who would play in goal? Dexter Blackstock? Although he wasn't an academy product was he actually.

We'd definitely have some great players but tough to fit them into an XI.

True. I'm struggling to recall us producing any decent keepers. We'd be great going forwards though!

Dyer in midfield though? Oxo or Suman would be better candidates surely! Not the best defence either...
