Things were less toxic or conditional prior to the name change fiasco perhaps?

21 home games this far this season....63 points have been played for, and we have accumulated a miserable 7 wins and 8 draws..That's just 29 points or 46% of the points on offer...Teams are not intimidated when they come here...We're too nice, too accommodating ....There's nothing to fear visiting the MKM...You don't get promoted welcoming your opponents and allowing them a free rein...Need to learn the lessons fast and increase the expertise in gamesmanship and ****housery.

Do you think Acun sits there bored to tears most home games watching us fail to beat teams and worries about what Ehab or Don Robinson were doing?

The time frame to measure the clubs success in relation to the dreadful home form has to be with either Rosenior or Acun or both. And either way it's pretty ****.

We proved last night that we’re more than capable of playing great attacking football at home, now we just need to carry on doing it.

Not if it's a systemic issue stemming from prior to either of their involvement.

One thing I do agree with though, is it will fall to both Acun and Rosenior to sort it out.

I think it’s a combination of the way the away teams set up (as mentioned) and us just not attacking/scoring enough to get the crowd going. We often take an age to get our first shot on target. We know the crowd can get behind the team, we saw this when we were crap.

I’ve said it before, the football being played creates the crowd reaction, not the other way around. To blame the crowd in any way for the form is just bonkers.

And yes we get nervous and some turn on the team when we are wasting time passing it dangerously around the back, but this is the natural consequence of that style.

    Proved nothing.
Yet another home game, one that was there for the taking, that we failed to win. If our attacking play was "great" we'd have finished them off. We didn't. Again. Boro were dangerous on the break but their defence was absolutely nothing special.

Has that even been in question against a certain calibre of team? I'd say it was a similar performance then against other top teams ( albeit the best home performance ) but it wasn't a shock against a team that set up like they did, they same as Leeds away performance wasn't a shock. We just now have to find a way, a system, a set up that allows us to have that kind of performance against the stokes of this world....I'm really liking forward to Saturdays game as I think that will be a much better test for us as to the improvement we all hope has happened.

Just because it may or may not have been an issue before acun, it doesn't mean he hasn't been bored and very unimpressed with good chuck of our homes games this season, he's also made that quite clear in-house ( as you'd fully expect any owner to do ). I'm sure he, along with all of us were much happier ( albeit disappointed ) after last night's game.

Saturday is now a key game, not for our playoff push, but to show we can do it against a much more stubborn, closed off and tighter opponent that won't be playing on the front foot like Boro

All I am saying is he bought a club and ripped up the blueprint. He wanted to do things his way and has been highly successful in getting bums on seats and a feel good factor around the place. Him and the manager will be fully aware we have been dire at home for much of his tenure and he will be wanting to know why. He wont give a toss about covid, Ehab or Grant McCann in my opinion. He will be scratching his head as to why we dont perform because lets be honest, it is the reason we are not in 4th place. We have made a right cock up of it in games this season and most of them were in front of our fans which if not addressed will hinder his plans for full houses after the price increase. He is a businessman.

The fact that everything gets reduced to a blame game on here shows the maturity of the debate at times.

The home form has been an issue stemming from the huge historical disconnect between clubs and fans prior to Acun, and from there it seems to have become a reciprocating cycle.

It doesn't require arm chair managers to identify it as an issue, and I'm sure it has been something targeted as something to resolve.

There'd be something wrong if it hadn't been.

Trouble is, it's easier said than done.

Burnsy on today's 1904 said he'd had it from someone connected with the club that pressure is an issue, so do you honestly think that foot stamping or making 'or else' statements is actually doing anything to help that?

Why no lads, just pile it on. That's the way to go...

So you're blaming the home form on a 'disconnect' then? I thought you were above the blame game.

I'm saying it stems from. You're using the word blame.

Do I 'blame' the fans for the culture being made toxic by a stubborn old man and his odious son? No.

    Doesn't mean it isn't a factor though.
