Thanks for the info on Ron Davies. I met him once and he was the perfect gentleman as well. Shy and retiring but put him on the football pitch and he was mustard.
I'd agree Ron Davies was a great centre forward. I'd also agree Dean Ashton was probably the best in prospect, a very clever player. Grant Holt has been very very good for Norwich over the last 3 years but his very best year was in League 1. The others performed consistently in the top 2 divisions, I know GH did that as well but we need to see over another 1 or 2 seasons yet. Even so, any player getting 100 league goals in 4/5 seasons has to be considered a top striker at almost any club. Wish he'd been here when he was 24!
