And that's after I'd 'tidied it up' a bit! Sadness was spelt wrongly too.

I don't know if that's supposed to be a joke (Past experience would indicate so) but I am confident Morison can and will step up! <ok>

I would imagine McNally's stance of flatly refusing the players/manager the opportunity to talk to interested parties hasn't helped.

It's a shame its seems like we'll be losing both, but we have money for transfers, we'll get money for Lambert and a decent sum for Holt so we should be ok as long as it all gets sorted.quickly.

**** me. going to get alot worse before it gets better. this is how you repay the fans when they've championed you for england - when the rest of the country thinks you are an overweight lump - words fail me. let him rot in the reserves for 2 years.

he's not telling us anything we didn't already know. he wants security for his family, he wanted to end his career at norwich. problem is, he wants more money and a longer contract and we can't give him either. i think he's making a big mistake, more so than lambert is to be honest but if that's how he feels then it's his life - he won't live it again. he won't know what he had till its gone though and that's a shame <ok>

A 15 goal premier league striker is an asset. A 33 year old lard ball festering in the reserves is not. It's called business acumen and even though David McNally's has failed him by not at least giving Lambert permission to talk to Villa, I'd be surprised if it has deserted him altogether!

£4-5m for a clearly unhappy Holt = a replacement striker who may/may not be as good, but gives us a chance to kick on <ok>

This is Holt make no mistake about that, he always makes spelling mistakes on twitter.

My take is it is all about money. he was promised when he signed his contract to be the top earner at the club and we then give Howson in Jan a contract that makes him the top earner on 22,000 a week the same he was on at leeds. Holt understandable unhappy with being payed less after two promotions and a great season ................. OTBC

It makes you wonder why McNally didn't allow Lambert to talk to Villa in the first place! I know my club is being run like a banana republic atm but surely all this mess could so easily have been avoided. Lambert might well have said bollox to Villa and everyone would have been happy. It seems that due to vanity and a certain amount of arrogance McNally has allowed this damaging situation to develop. I have to feel a certain amount of sympathy for your predicament but after all the **** you have given us over the last few years I'm actually <laugh> my nuts off! I'm just going to sit back and enjoy this soap opera over the summer and milk it for all its worth!

i know for a fact that howson is not on £22k a week. he is top earner but he's not on that! it's around the £17k mark, plus bonuses. holt wanted to be top earner and an extended contract (not sure if that's 1 or 2 further years on top of his 2 year deal) to take him to either 34 or 35 years of age. it appears the club said 'NO' to the extension and 'NO' to the extra money, that is why he wants to leave <ok>

it does look like its been handled quite badly but i very much doubt it would have made any difference had he let him talk to them. he'd still have left.

Maybe so but it wouldn't have left such a bitter taste in the mouth if things had been handled better!

Despite what you may have heard today, Jonny Howson is not for sale. No chance. None. Not for sale and never has been."

well if he was going to leave anyway it would have felt a bit bitter going to villa! at least, looking at it from another viewpoint, it looks like the club fought to keep him, rather than just sent him on his merry way. depends how you view it! he's off, holt's off too, so we start again with a new manager and see who we can bring in - i'm excited. it'll be a new feel at carrow road in august, that's for sure!

That was my first impression yesterday, Warky. By depriving Lambert of the chance to speak to an interested party, McNally has helped create a rod for his own - and all of ours, backs.

If the Villa package wasn't right, thanks but no thanks, then business as normal back at Carra HQ. It may have even helped make Lambert's mind up for him <doh>

Yep, the grass isn't always greener as they say. Such a shame that both will be leaving under a cloud, I'm grateful for what both have done for us but I've lost a lot of respect that I had for both of them, especially Lambert. So much so, I'm afraid that I don't wish him well with his new club. The silence from Lambert as usual is deafening, total lack of respect for the fans that worshipped him, so much for 'having a great rapport' with us eh ? Although I'm feeling as sick as a parrot, I now want both to bugger off sooner rather than later. McNally needs to identify who he wants (if he hasn't already), and make that phone call now get the new man in place straightaway <ok>

P.S. Holt isn't getting any younger, he'll be 33 next birthday I believe, probably time to cash in anyway and use the money to bring in someone younger, Rhodes perhaps ?

P.P.S. With regard to Lambert and Villa, in the words of Kevin Keegan "I'd love it, really love it, if we beat them !"<laugh>
