1950 - Couldn't agree more!!!

Ha, I'm a year younger than you!!

Got to say I agree, Holt is a player and by the nature of the game could get injured tommorow and that would be it, for me the list would go
McNally
Lambert
Culverhouse
Delia
Holt

PS a_skwared Im 5 years youger than you<party>

I doubt we would have gained the second promotion without Holt's goals.
..how many would he have scored in this same team under a lesser manager? i venture to say several fewer, which makes lamberts ability to get the very best out of holt ( and the rest of the squad) the obvious choice as to the answer to the question.

Whilst Holt has been immense for us (Ipswich fans please feel free to snigger) and a huge part of the last three wonderful seasons the team have had a number of excellent results without him leading the line. Both are tremendous servants to the club but Lambert has been the keystone to our recent success and hopefully will be around long enough for us to consolidate our position in the top flight and give us a legacy when he leaves (ideally a 35k seater stadium and an established Premier league team).

Both important but Lambert is the greater force.

Only a couple of days before our defeat against lesser was thinking and pondering about where our club would be without holty, the guy is such an inspiration to the team, and he gives the whole thing a lift when hes on the pitch. Was so gutted he didnt play on saturday, and when he wasnt on the subs bench i thought we would struggle, anyways the point to the thread if you had to choose between lambert and holt who would you rather have, personally for me has to be holt we dont make all them songs up for nothing, and maybe just a coincidence that the fortunes of the club changed when he joined our club too, your thoughts please

this can't be serious?

nah...

is it?

while i would hate to think of a world without holt, you can't pin it all on him, the boy could be the most prolific striker in the world and if the rest of the team isn't doing what it should then you'll still lose...lambert (and dm) put that together...and i don't think we'd be anywhere near the total we are on without his tactical input -

in terms of norwich signings he is probably one of the most important and influential we have made or will ever make - days as dark as i can remember in that summer leading up to our league one campaign...

Holt has been our most important player, I don't think we would be a prem team without him, that said Lambert is more important than anyone.
