On a complete side note, Jamaicans come across as top notch ****ing people.

Caribbean folk in general are pretty sound. I know that’s a sweeping generalisation, but I love their take on life. One of my best mates is Jamaican and he just tells it how it is, which us brits don’t tend to do, we skirt around the issues, he just comes out with it.

Makes for funny conversation as we take the piss out of each other for our whiteness and blackness. This is how is should be, good mates being able to rip the piss out of each other.

Yeah I’m alright. Just got communication but it aint gunna hold. This place has been completely flattened. No idea what’s happened anywhere else on the island. I still can’t get in touch with most people who live here. It’s a bit of a nightmare already.

The fish and chicken supplies have now been chucked. There’s no power to keep any appliances on. The vast majority of crops have been wiped out. There’s no running water. We are the forgotten about community and unless help gets in this could turn into an even bigger disaster.

I’ll keep popping in whenever I’m able which isn’t going to be much, by the looks of things.

Yea <diva><cheers>

Think the UK are organising flights for Brits back home.

But understand you might not want to ditch the community you're in.

Hope the situation improves soon bro.
