Keep looking out the window mate ... we've sent a fat bloke from Cornwall on a surfboard to pick you up ... he'll likely be wearing a rather sodden cowboy hat and a 1970s replica Arsenal away shirt ...

More seriously, stay safe and don't take any unnecessary risks buddy ...

**** that, just been watching it on Youtube.

I got stuck in a tropical storm once (long story) and that will have been nothing compared to a category 5 hurricane. Don't know how to best advise Saf, but get somewhere as safe as possible and get above any flood water risk (storm surge). You will probably lose all power as well, keep device charged until it all goes. You'll need as much fresh water bottles as poss and non perishable provisions.

Stay safe bro.

I’ve come to the mountains, it’s a place called Mount Edgecombe. It’s an old ghetto, but they call it ‘The Scheme’ now. It’s normally got an edgy and dangerous feel about it but tonight is different. Some of these people know they’re gunna lose their homes in the next 36hrs. It’s not a good vibe, you can tell everyone is worried.

Lots of people evacuated on Friday and Saturday but it didn’t feel right just ****ing off and leaving them to it. We’ll be alright. Inshallah.

We are on the ground floor so to speak, not far from the ocean which is an obvious hazard but if we stay further up, we are at more risk of being brought down by a mudslide or washed away with flooding. We’ve prepared as best we can. Now we just have to wait and see what comes.

Damion says he is "quite scared", and that he feels he may need to go out later as he doesn’t have enough food at home and needs to stock up.

Well **** me Damion, how much notice did you need to stock up. Not sure much will be open kidda
