It’s gone past 3am here and I’ve just climbed into bed. Been on a date with the barmaid from one of the locals. Going to a party with her on Friday night.

Love this country. I’m having a great time.

Back off to Dartmoor tomorrow with the fam. Just a short break in a little cottage.

Bit of hiking and Tor climbing, bit of swimming in the Dart and the girls want to get the steam train from Buckfast to Totnes.

Probs won’t be chowing on any shrooms for this trip

So 2nd day here. Found out i have 4 days of chinese day of the dead l (immediate ancestors, 1st generation of ancestors, 3rd generation and the generation just above mine).

This is the original generation, food gets chopped we eat some there and take the rest home.

Theres about 30 odd people here and we are "family. Theres actually 3 of those pigs weight probably around 30 odd kg including the board. So last year i turn up this one for the first time being smart wearing my new sweater so i dont get stung by the mossies and i decide to be helpful and carry one of the pigs up. Being the size of westies right bicep, i carry the fat oily pig on my shoulder and its juices ruin my nice new sweater. Oh well for the clansman. Then i see that same bird in the picture cutting up wondering why shes got an apron and all prepared and shes and a couple of others are paid for the pig and labour to bring up the pig and chop it up. No ****ers told me that i didn't need to slave up a mountain.

Heres the man in all his glory at 93 (before i then did the rest of the field)

and heres a nice pic of a run i had just now. Deathly quiet here and some feral dogs walking around. Not sure if i want to keep running lol

It’s not looking good here. Every forecast that is coming through gets worse each time. We are taking a direct hit from it on Tuesday. It’s possibly going to be the worst on record to hit Jamaica. Raining heavy here, waves are hitting the mainland already and the winds are very strong. Everything is boarded up and chained down, so we are as prepared as can be for something like this. Expected flooding, landslides, power outages across the country and sadly, loss of life.

This place will be a mess and there’s going to need a big humanitarian effort to help these people out.
