Has anyone been to Madrid? Much to do there to cover 5 days?

Im not a sit round the pool kind of person, resort holidays bore the **** out of me.

Capital city of Spain.
Nope, nothing much to do, same in London, Paris, Rome, ..... :emoticon-0112-wonde
Or do you mean, any recommendations for best things to do there?

Well, England and France don’t have a Barcelona. London, Paris and Rome are well known for extensive tourism, Madrid not so much. Of course there will be stuff to do and see there but I’m really asking anyone who’s been if there’s enough to justify spending 6 days there (not 5 as the last post - typo).

Madrid has over 6 million tourists visiting a year.

My first boss was from Madrid. His advice to anyone going was to keep Spanish hours not British ones for meals etc. And eat the Spanish way. Plenty to see and do according to people I know who have spent time there.

Drove through there once… that was once too many, like Paris in acid…
 
In hull when your rushing to get somewhere there’s always a driving miss daisy in front.
In Spain it’s goats….. again lol there are twice as many today here in Spain, breeding like bloody mice me thinks…
