    Not booked anything so didn't have anything to cancel. I'll be travelling once they allow it though. I am hoping they won't leave it too late, Portugal will remain nice for a while and I wouldn't mind a week or two there.

    We have a credit card and we use it for all online purchases and any big ticket items. We have a standing order to pay off the balance at the end of each month and have never been overdrawn or stung with charges but get the benefit of the insurance it offers and it builds a good credit rating.

    They aren't the devils work but if used incorrectly they can become a big problem. Basically, resist the urge to spend money you don't have and be studious enough to make sure you keep track of what you owe and you'll be fine.
