Talking about chocolates, the Russians are so behind in terms of racial awareness that they "abuse" their own players:

    Incredible!

    Yup.
Fifa would never allow a World Cup to be held in such a backward place, would they? <whistle>

Oh it gets better. Saw the story on a reporters Twitter page. Responses from Russians denying it was racist:

    * with no history of racism in this country this was a joke between friends
    * you know there's also white chocolate?
    * we never had slavery (wtf???) so don't know how to be racist.
    * racism is made up by western journalists to sell papers.

    Quality stuff

WTF was serfdom then? That was still going in Russia after the Americans abolished slavery! (Well 1861, which was before the South was forced to abolish slavery too, I suppose).

Incredible - a Burnley player on MoTD there just got booked for slightly nudging Zaha who then crashed into a pitchside camera. To be fair, he didn't try and make up any stories about Zaha when the ref went to book him.

MOTD are a joke for the second week running; automatically assuming racist content. Have to question the commentators / pundits when the first place their mind goes is racism!

My first thought was JR being a bit childish and saying the other guy had smelly breath.

They didn't show it on MoTD, they just had an interview with Hughton saying it had been reported to the FA. None of the sagacious tut-tutting and quotes from Ena Shearer that he wouldn't have acted that way unless something had been said to him. There's no smoke without fire Minnie, and I'll have a half of stout.

Yes they did, just watched it.

They didn't give it much air time if that's what you meant?

Yes, in comparison to the Holgate/Firmino autopsy.

Jay waves his hand in front of his own nose like a child would to insinuate someone or something smells. This was immediately following the two players coming face to face.

Rodriguez disagrees. he made 'Phew you stink gesture'. I dunno what he said, but he claims not. The difference between how MoTD dealt with both incidents is totally chalk and cheese though. None of the 'We thought it might be spitting but it's not, though Firmino clearly says something that upsets him'. 'yes, he wouldn't act like that unless it was something really bad he said'.

In both instances, motd should simply stick with "we will wait and what the outcome of that situation is". They shouldn't be passing opinion.

    Exactly right.

I can't stand Big Sam but the way he handled it was spot on, " I'm here to talk about footballing matters, everything else will be sorted by the relevent authorities "

Shambolic that the BBC would allow them to speculate like they are on such serious subjects
