No need to bring other incidents in to make what was said less offensive.

I haven't read all of this thread or seen anything on the news so will ask a question

Is there any evidence/reason to believe the FA are looking into this at all?
Is it possible that the ref reported nothing and neither club has raised an issue, I would have expected a statement by now that an allegation was being looked into but have seen nothing.

The FA confirmed were looking into the incident afte rit was reported so they have to take action.

Would be ridiculous id they looked into it, took no action but didn’t inform anyone. Not even the fa are that bad!

Think i read somewhere meetings are friday, expecting news tomorrow.
I know nothing of the andre grey incident but i dont think thay what holgate said five years ago should be brought up now and lead to a ban, lead to an acknowledgement that the remarks were immature and wrong and even homophobic but defo not retro ban for that.
The red should have been issued on the night for the shove irrespective of anything else, to give it a week later seems daft.
I have said a few times i would love to see both come out tomorrow, apologise, handshake and say was misunderstandingtime to be grown up and move on
Doubt that going to be the case though

FA had put together an internal inquiry that was “not a genuine search for the truth” and “designed to close down the complaint and absolve Mark Sampson”.

He knows the FA won’t do a proper investigation. Firmino getting away with it after Sampson Sham.

What punishment should Moshiri get? Forced to invest in his new stadium?

    There's a duty to investigate.

No Everton person or holgate has stated it was misunderstanding.

No lfc person or firmino has spoken on it.

You've a racial allegation, a police investigation into social media hate crime abuse, you've allegations of homophobia against holgate.

There's no good that can come of no investigation.

But most of all and most worrying is the message it sends out. Don't complain about abuse, the white guys will trawl your life and come down on you. We have to encourage everyone to be able to speak openly on this as it's not acceptable and we have to be able to not just trash the accused either.

The fa perceived inaction will lead to abuse st grounds this weekend. I fully expect some twat from city away fans to be singing about firmino or about other issues and some lfc twat yo be offensive bavk and the cameras to pick out the home fan.

I expect holgate to get abuse too.

    Total mess.

You know he is only spending Usmanov money he is taking from Arsenal and using tax payer money stolen from NHS and benefits claims for the stadium

Even the FA will have a hard jab to produce a sacrificial head on a stick when there is zero evidence and the alleged incident happened in front of millions of TV viewers.

I asked this the other day but will try again, have the FA actually announced they are looking into this officially or are we talking about paper bollocks with "we believe/have heard" stories?

To make a statement one way or the other can be embarrassing to the FA. The best thing is to sweep it under the carpet.

Yep, but have they made a statement that a complaint has been made or is everyone just jumping to conclusions because of something said on MOTD?
