The SLP and News Shopper usually get their stories right when it comes to Charlton, more so than the Nationals I think. It's a shame but Greenwich Time is no longer allowed under this government's new unacceptable regulations on local council run publications, to publish reviews of the matches, they were always the best ones as well.
A funny one this. Warnock must be expecting him to get some playing time, yet Evina has looked a good bet for LM if JJ has a knock. Don't get it really. Mind you I haven't seen Ephraim so what do I know?
The weekend has come and gone, and still no word on Mr H Ephraim on the official site. Also they are not making a big deal of a Charlton XI playing in the Kent Senior Cup tomorrow at Bromley (entrance £5). I would expect to see the following get a game: Sullivan, Doherty, Smith, Pigott, Alonso if fit, Bover if fit, Harriott, Pritchard (at least part of a game depending on fitness), and the rest of the squad to be juniors. Not sure if Powell will want Evina and Euell to play again (maybe just part of the game for them).
There seems to be some suggestions that it got held up because he couldn't play in the cup game and their chairman was off at the Grand Prix, should go through today or tomorrow - personally I'm a bit surprised that there's been no statement on it by either club.
I'm struggling to see how he will get much gametime unless we have more injuries, as it's not as if our fixture list is particularly packed in the next 6 weeks, seeing that we have the grand total of 7 league games (plus the FA Cup 2nd round and possible replay). It's only the xmas period when we have 3 games in 8 days when he might be useful.
As I understand it the management want more crosses from wings for Kermi to knock down for BWP to finish
I always thought hogan was more of a "inside forward" type winger, rather than a more conventional player like Green. Maybe our QPR friend could divulge a bit more info on this?
Alright lads, QPR fan in peace. You've got a very good player in Ephraim. Good on the ball, quick and technical. He's CCC level at the very least, in fact I think he should have been kept in our squad as he may have what it takes for the Premiership. Played up top at West Sham but mostly played wide for us. Seen you taking Halifax apart last night in the Cup. Heading for the Ch'ship too no doubt. I just hope we don't meet yis there next season! Besta luck!
He's said all the right things in his interview upon arrival. Im v. excited with this signing, not least because he did so well for me for Charlton on FM. Could really add another dimension to our team, and can see him displacing Euell on the bench for Brentford, whom many of us agree is simply over the hill, legend or not.
