From the long highlights on the Official it looked like we struggled. Unsurprising I suppose. Smith looked in good shape, Lungo rusty, Washington shooting as weak as normal, and Leistner old.

Surprised/relieved we didn't get Chris Martin unless it's still on the cards.

Having kept a keen eye on proposed player movements recently, I'm of the opinion that we may be lacking in $$$ offers compared to other clubs.
There seemed to be a couple who were interested but seemed to have falling over or are stalling.

I can only surmise that the dollar value offer falls short.
It can't be that were located in London and surely its not the former England manager who manages us, now.
I wish we could lash out on one or two strikers.
I know the club has strict budgets nowadays but everyone needs a good upcoming forward or two.
Forwards seem to cost the most so surely we must spend more on them then say, a back or midfielder.

On the face of it that's a very good result.
Eze seems to be a big part of Maclaren's plans.
I have high hopes for him.

I’m sure McClaren is wondering how he’s going to get a tune out of Washington

Eze, Freeman and Ingram looked to do pretty well for pre-season. Kakay looked to struggle against better players, Washington’s shot was disappointing (he really needs to get his head up). Still worried about our defensive capabilities. Was good to see the ball getting into the area; deliver good balls in and we will certainly have more chance to score.
I was wondering whether the ‘behind doors’ game had anything to do with a signing prospect? Or maybe just our first eleven and tactics coming out for play.

The only conclusion I can draw from the extended highlights is that we are the better team in the rain.:)

surely these games were opportunities to identify fitness, work on formations and to see which players fit into the formations better.
Hopefully Steeeve has made a few useful observations

Very true. We look forward to seeing the results.

Let’s hope that they are fruitful!
