He just offers something different, his height, aerial ability, however I still don't think he should be in ahead of the likes of Kane & Austin. England have a weird option of numerous strikers, it happens every few years & we can't fit them all in, then nothing. For me it would be Welbeck, Kane, Austin, Sturridge & Rooney. As for Sterling, I don't think he's a striker & shouldn't be used as one or even mentioned as one when it comes to picking the squad.
Keep with the same players who have done so well so far in the Lithuania game. However in the friendly game in Italy give the likes of Kane Sturridge Berahino a go. Great chance te to give many players a game without upsetting the clubs.
So no Kane, then? You'd seriously pick Ings and Austin ahead of the Premier League's most in-form player? That was a quick change of heart!
Kane has to play for England every game now, he's destroyed Chelsea and Arsenal and can only learn more from playing internationals. Rooney can play his Man United role. The trouble England have is that Woy will pick the likes of Baines and Jagielka who aren't up to it at that level so the defence will be shoddy, you can't build a team on weak foundations and with an inadequate manager.
I tell you what, John Stones is looking like a reaI player. I think it's time to stick him in next to Cahill, seeing as there are no grown-ups good enough.
4-2-3-1 for me hart baines, jaglika, cahill, rb is a tough call no one outstanding henderson, milner sterling, rooney, ox-chambers sturridge wellbeck, kane, walcot on bench attack wise
Kane has scored 23 and has been the most consistent Englishman this season, why is he behind the only just returned Sturridge? Also, Jagielka and Henderson? Really?
Would likely go for Kane and Sturridge personally, with Rooney playing in the hole behind them, Stirling on the bench can then replace any of the three of them to bring something against tiring defenders
Hart Clyne Cahill Stones Baines Milner Wilshere Chamberlain Barkley Rooney Kane Sterling possibly in place of Chamberlain or Rooney.
