Oooh we could. If McClaren had managed to sneak us through to the last Euros it would have been an epic farse.

Not at all I stand by it Delap for England, and Ronaldo and Modric, and Drogba, and anyone else we can get who has lived in England.

See you just need to think outside the box a little. Mind you some thinking inside the box might not be a bad idea.

It says 'according to a report' which could be from the bloke on the other side of his office.

I've got to write about Redknapp not getting the England job, any ideas? Yeah blame it on Sandra, Harry will go with that.

Harry would go with that though...right up his street..however im not sure if its true..it could be..she could be concerned about his health...which brings me back to my original point of why he couldnt distance himself from it since he had no intention of taking it apparently..

Presumably because the FA said shut up.

If that worked perhaps we could get the FA to handle Harry's future media contributions.

how can they tell him to shut up to the detriment of his current job? and since he wasnt intrested in their post then he could have told them to shut up...but instead he jeopordised our season?

poor judgement by Harry if true.

I don't think it's true that he wasn't interested, I think he was very interested. That's why he would shut up if the FA asked him to. He probably thought he would get the offer an then go home and try to convince Sandra.

If ANY of this is true Dona, I also think you are leading me down a path with a dead end and a small drop into a pond.

Roy's CV is simply better for the job, he has managed at international level and made Finland a very decent side that just failed to make the euros or WC, cant remember which.

  19. I've got to say, that I truly do believe that Woy will do better for us than Harry would have done. That's not being disrespectful to Harry, because I believe that the FA has done Harry a massive favour by saving him from his dream.

Spot on, Harry has unfinished business at Spurs and now has the chance (I assume) to make the difference and take Spurs to some real success. England was such a huge gamble for him he would have left Spurs without actually winning anything as poorly equipped tactically as managers like Keegan. The chances of it all going pear shaped were much bigger than with Roy. On the other hand we might have seen some exciting football displays that we wont now.

For me the appointment of Hogdson is one of the most sensible decisions I have seen the FA take for years.

That's not to say it can't all go wrong of course, it's England we are talking about.
