I don't think it is Harry next. I don't think it's ever been Harry. I think Harry's is the very last person they would consider. If Roy turns the job down (which I don't believe he will), and with Alan Pardew having already ruled himself out of the running, I think the FA will either offer it to Pearce, or go abroad, again.
hmm interesting. V happy with this, it's the right decision for England, IMO. Happy in the sense that I think Woy will do a brilliant job and has the attributes to get the best out of our players. not really sure where it leaves us. all a bit odd as we've all presumed too much.
Woy will be cheaper, no compo needed. Hopefully our management and players can now concentrate solely on Spurs and winning football matches.
baffled me as top earning pros that they could not do that anyway..regardless of who the manager is..surely you as a pro would give it your best..as you love playing and get paid handsomly..or do they just play for Harry? what about us the fans? i think they are a bunch of ****erz for using the Harry thing as an excuse.......just another example of the weak minds at our clubs who buckle when you got to stand up and be counted! bullshit that they let it effect their performances for us who pay thier fukin wages!
****you hairy cwutch Bluemoon2. On a more serious note there is already concern as to whether Woy can work with the top players. My answer to that is to drop them and blood the youngsters,a new bwoom sweeps clean Woy. Wooney blows hot and cold so just dwop him.
Will be interesting to see how Roy treats Gerrard? I hope for Gerrard's sake he didn't play any part in getting rid of Roy from Anfield! And I guess Joe Cole can book his holiday.
My answer as to why they chose Roy over Harry is Roy has no court cases of public profile etc. He's a cleaner character than Harry. Gerrard? Good point Harry's. In all the speculation Harry never once said that he didn't want the job and left us all guessing so for that I'd now say goodbye. Harry's court case deterred the FA from appointing him I think.
I can't argue with Hodgson's selection, on paper at least, as he's got international experience and he's out of contract, so there's no compensation to pay out to a club. That might not be an issue normally, but he could royally **** up the Euros and the media would be on him straight away. One of the papers today noted that there's been virtually no response from any of the players. Probably not a good sign.
I would hope that players are concentrating on team matters at what is the most crucial part of the season.
I don't look either. I'm not on any of the social media sites. It normally gets reported by the mainstream media, though. A fairly large number of the current squad gave public backing to Redknapp, prior to this appointment. It'd be a shame to see Woy freeze them all out...
Wouldn't it! If they feel they had better not comment it's a good sign IMO. It means nobody feels in with him perhaps. I get the impression that he is a pragmatist so the first team he selects will be interesting, although I would be surprised if it was revolutionary rather then evolutionary.
