Most none Liverpool fans see Roy as a good option, there are some who disagree but his record is mostly good and hes already taken the Swiss to a higher spot than England have been for decades in the rankings.

Aw diddums look at the former player and fans crying because the FA didn't get the wheeler dealer Harry Redknapp, i can't believe the nonense that they are coming with, first of all i'm not an England fan but look at his international record, he took Switzerland to 3rd in the world rankings and got huge results against Italy and Portugal, if your an England fan, you should back the team and the manager.

Expect the media smear campaign to start at about 4.02pm then. They didn't get their beloved 'Arry so Hodgson is pretty much in no-win situation with the press. "People's choice" my arse, only if the word people means red top journos

I was watching a bit of the press conference and all the journalists were asking about was Harry Redknapp, i mean how disrespectful was that, give Roy Hodgson a chance FFS i'm not an England fan by the way, i just wanted to give my opinion that's all.

I'm a big England fan and think that Woy is the best qualified Englishman for the job. Don't think we'll win the Euro Champs but at least we're there. C'mon England!!!!

Lets be honest here, woy has made a name for himself for getting the best out of average teams

and despite the hype and the so called 'golden generation' claims have england been anything more than average?

THIS is the main issue for me in football in this country. Fans and media build teams up beyond their station
People like Pulis at Stoke or Allardyce at bolton get their teams playing and surviving in the EPL, before you know it there are shouts for these men to be ousted and in most cases when they are the teams crumble

Having said that WOY must be mad taking the job, starting with the question of him playing in south africa in his younger days the knives are already out
