Anyone who thinks the scattergun process of signing players this summer was well-thought out is deluded. Players signed to play 3-5-2 which is jettisoned after a few games, no cover for the alternate formations, players playing out of position, new recruits not played at all. You really couldn't make it up.

Well Les now has his chance to show us all what he can do. Will be a tough job though inheriting a group of players signed to play 3-5-2. Maybe that's why we are struggling because all of our players cannot play the new revolutionary system of 4-4-2!

This pre-occupation with systems is what drags our game down. Sure you need a game plan but it is still 11v 11 and players can go up and down the pitch and sideways if they want. It is all down to basics - keepers need to make saves, defenders need to make tackles, forwards need to shoot and midfielders need to be able to do a bit of everything.. And everyone needs to be able to pass a ball 10 yards. If you don't have that then it does not matter what system you play.

I am concerned because I do feel that Les may be a little out of his depth here. The more I think about it the more I think sherwood must be imminent.

Sorry Col, only realised it sounded bad once I posted, but Norway does know stuff about random football players that most of us never heard of. But my intention of saying you Both have superior knowledge to him was just being honest.

I fink you're right, Ms Catherine. COL knows a wee bit alright but Norway has forgotten more than he'll ever know :emoticon-0140-rofl:

Meanwhile, SSN Breaking News: Glenn Hoddle has left QPR. Apparently this was to do with a long-standing groin issue.
 
Sure sign that Sherwood is incoming, don't Hoddle and him have what is termed 'previous'?
He wasn't going to hang around if the young pretender is sweeping in

As far as I'm concerned it is certainly for the better! It will be near impossible to be as dull watching Rangers as it was under the great departed man. I would prefer you, Swords, to be in charge than the charlatan who has now left the club!

And Swords you are still insulting to post that picture or Col and Norway! They are QPR fans you just stir ****!
 
Hoddle made an interesting comment. Implied it was all about not winning matches rather than about knees.
