calm down calm down.. Proud Fox's comments about Hull were well out of order so he needs to take that back esp if he's assuming the role of "mod" but re Hobbs he's about right..

we seem to be entering a period of low key high progile signings. Two years ago, Adebola and Hobbs would have been unvieled at a lavish press conference to feed the local amateurs hacks with a way to produce more chip paper and pointless bluster.

Those press conferences were always embarrassing. Hardly anyone turned up and only Burnsey really cared about it. Duffen was always keen for Burnsey to shut up and let other people speak but they didn't have a clue. Much prefer the low key way. Nice pic on the website of them with a shirt next week and let's get on with it!

Bit uncalled for and childish really. I've lived in Leicester my entire life, and although it might not be the nicest place it's far from the worst. I've spent time in Hull and been around a good proportion of the city including residential areas and from what I've seen I'd much rather live in Leicester. Yes it may have a high immigrant population but the majority of them are really nice and helpful people. I've seen British locals do despicable things in Hull in alot less time which gives me a picture of how the rougher areas can be, such as old men urinating in shop doors at mid-day. Also never felt so uncomfortable in a pub as I did in Hull once even wearing my city top, after people heard my midlands accent I was getting evil stares off the entire lot, including a couple of rather scary looking toothless skin heads. Architecture and all that also seems to be a lot nicer in Leicester. Never lived in Hull so obviously I'm not going to have a full scale picture of what life there is really like but from what I've seen in my time there I'd much much rather live here than there.

The women are a million times better here too <ok>

Not trying to bad mouth your city at all there if that's how it came across, just annoys me when people have misguided views like that. For what it's worth I rather like Hull as a place and wouldn't mind living there at all, just making the point that after spending considerable amounts of time in both cities, which I think gives me good grounds for a fair comparison, I feel Leicester is the nicer place to live. Maybe that's because I've grown up and spent my whole life here.

Either way theres loads of far worse places than either city, the majority of London, Birmingham, Nottingham and Manchester just for starts!

Just out of interest, is this the same London and Manchester that were named by an American travel guide as 2 of the top-20 places to visit next year?

Can I just ask why you support Hull City and not Leicester?
