Who said I don’t like RL?Lot of admiration for the fitness and toughness of RL players. Still prefer union at the higher levels. As the saying went - a good game of union is better than a good game of league but a bad game of league is better than a bad game of union,
Union was generally terrible to watch during the amateur era - club level was almost unwatchable as a neutral, although international was marginally better. League was better to watch on tv. Changed a lot since then - rare to have a low scoring, scrum/maul fest now at professional level union, as the rules favour open ball, free play.
He told Lee he was doing the interview and the sh**house went out and told the World before Radders had even had chance to ring his wife and kids. They saw it live on tv like everyone else. He lost a lot of people that day, a lot of people. It was a mess already but it is now a shambles of a club. All he had to do was let Radders do the media and then have a beer with him in private and let him go but he needed the big show.
Fair about the white ****e part and Rovers are doing well now but we all know in sport nothing ever stays the same, so we'll have our dip in the future and no doubt the darksiders will probably rise again (spit, spit).
As someone with little interest in rugby, but a slight preference for Rovers, I don't think they'd be any great loss, and their demise would probably benefit City and Rovers in the long run
Things can change quite quickly in Rugby Legaue, Hull KR were a shambles a few short years ago, their owner wanted rid and they ended up getting relegated. A couple of wealthy investors became interested and everything changed. But if those investors ever lose interest they’ll be back in the **** again. Same with Hull FC, Pearson pumped some money in, they won some trophies and competed at the top, then he stopped putting money in, started cutting corners and made some bad decisions, leaving the club where it is now. There’s probably only Leeds and St Helen’s that are self sustaining, the rest are held up by wealthy investors, or are struggling to keep their heads above water.
Difference between a teabag and FC? A teabag stays longer in the cup. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
