Off Topic HKR Having a fantastic day

You don’t need to drink to enjoy yourself. Or so my wife has told me for 50 years. I am not prepared to risk it so err on the side of caution.

 

I thought it was a 3.00 kick off too. Need some clarification.

 

It says 3 o’clock on the fixture lists, including SKY’s.

 

Suits me. I was told it was 12.30 ko for SKY by the missus. Think I'll stick to that and catch the 9.30 am bus so I don't miss kick off.

 

It is those sort of things that separate us oldies from the young uns.

You know where we'll be, and at a recent home match kids were in the pub too.

 

You could gather all the chips from all the fish & chip discussions on this forum & you’d still have less chips than the shoulders on this thread.

The day we stopped them getting to the FA cup final is etched onto my brain and will remain until the day I die . They are a horrible tinpot club.

 

Not had a lot of dealings with them but I'm getting the train to and from Wessie land for this one so could be interesting

Just have the opinion that a lot of old farts have a massive chip on their shoulders.

Constantly bleating on about rugby league, the local press, and many other things, that appears to be, for some, a lifetime grievance that’s created a snowflake mentality of being a victim. Poor souls.

It’s also very ****ing boring. “Hull are ****” “HDM hate us”, “Tubbylard fans follow a different football club to me”, “We’re not on the front page”, “Their support is ****”, “They like them more than they like us”, “They get better coverage than us”, “It’s not fair”,

Boo ****ing Hoo.

A dedicated 18 page thread on this forum bleating & wailing about a rugby league club, apart from being embarrassing, perhaps suggests they’re not as irrelevant as “some” think they are. They’re certainly relevant enough to be deeply entrenched in the minds of the “some”. Which is funny.
