Leigh kicked off and ball went out.Commentator said in fairness you could forgive him as though the stadium is big the pitch is smaller than most rugby league pitches. Newcastle’s pitch is same size as MKM, same size as Old Trafford and Wembley is you get to any finals. Good to know there are RL commentators as clueless as some of the football ones. Had the same stuff in HDM when City for there and FC did about dealing with the large pitch, players going out to inspect the pitch and get used to the size…

He was surplus at Catalans because he couldn’t get in the team ahead of a 36 year old, semi-retired Sam Tomkins. He’s looking a much better player at Rovers than he ever did at Catalans though to be fair.

His kicking alone is like an RU kicker and could be priceless after they lost Rhyse Martin so early in the season. Could be the difference between winning the league leaders shield and finishing runners up again. Grand final is for TV. Would rather win a league over 27 games.
