I’ve got no jury still out, if they’ve played a dozen games I’m putting them in a column hit or miss.

I agree with your hits apart from Harrison, he’s in my miss column, your misses I agree with all so your Jury still out group, I see it as:

Koch - Hit by the skin of his teeth, age is on his side, we’d get a decent transfer back if we needed to sell. The rest all misses

Harrison, just got in mine as £12m is not a lot nowadays and he's scored some vital goals but we certainly should be getting more assists from him, James I don't think it's really fair to judge as he's been played out of position most games.

Nketiah not a miss in mine and still scoring for a top four team. Poveda would be a miss. I never saw anything in him. Pretty much agree on the rest

Poveda was probably signed as a ‘player with potential’ so I’d say jury out because if we go down he’d be a top player for us in the Championship (as he’s shown at Blackburn)

I purposely left out, Hjelde, Somerville Greenwood, Drameh etc..as they've not played enough, which could be said for Gelhardt but he certainly looks the business.
If they were to be added, they'd have to go into the Jury section

Having had a rethink, at £29m and a reported £100k pw, Rodrigo surely is a miss

He started 4 games for blackburn and played the equivalent of less than 5 games in total. He wasn't a regular starter, before his injury. Mowbray's comments about him have typically been about him being talented but requiring him to understand the positional and work ethic of the team. Not sure he's shown himself to be a top championship player - just one with some potential.

The reason starting this thread was, I saw a list of his signings elsewhere and was with a friend a little while later who is an ex pro and had managed at Conference level for a number of years, I asked him what ratio of signings that are considered good for the club would be acceptable. He obviously said no club gets it right all the time, regardless of the clubs riches but you would expect to get a least 60% of your signings right, certainly no less than 1 in 2 , when I pointed out Orta seems to have got 1 in 3 right, he said that's a very poor return at any level. 99% of people in football would be able to achieve that level, let alone one reputed to be amongst the highest paid DOF's in Europe.
So like players and managers, if they don't perform at a standard that's right for the club then they have to go, so is it time for Orta to go or are some of the failings Bielsa's fault, I'm sure the club will make it out that way. All in all perhaps Raphinha and Meslier are the only one's we'd profit on, which would be offset by the big losses on Koch, Llorente and certainly Rodrigo.
Time for a new DOF, or infact do we need one?

I like Joffey but sometimes think he is bigged up too much by supporters in hope he’s the superstar we want him to be. On the old adage “if you’re good enough you’re old enough” if he was that good he’d be a first team regular. Look at Sackho down at our next opponents for example.
