This picture was always thought of as the Rangers against the touring Canadian team from 1888.

Turns out that it is in fact the opening match for First Ibrox in 1887 against Preston North End.

For anyone wondering where the Goalie's are, they wore the same coloured strip as the outfield players back then. (How's that for a bit of useless information? )


Also, forty is the only number that's in Alphabetical order......." Lotta people don't know that " (Maurice Micklewhite ) <cheers>
 
Imagine what the fights would have been like after the match.
