Things change very quickly in football, especially during the summer. One day a newspaper reports that a certain deal has no chance of happening, the next day the player signs. The transfer window opens soon and, given the recent statements made by Gazidas, I think we'll see some activity soon after the window opens. Like many others have said on this thread, the squad needs serious strengthening, a statement of intent needs to be made and the only evidence that this is not happening has been concocted by unreliable newspapers. I will reserve judgement until the end of the window. If the signings are underwhelming, then I will condemn the club's actions in the strongest possible terms.
 
Apparently Higuain isn't even in Spain, he is in Miami. Might explain the delay to the transfer. Will need to wait until he back from holiday before finding out about this transfer.

I can't believe how much you lot are panicking when we aren't even in to July yet. They've said they'll spend, absolutely no reason to suggest it won't happen. Just chill out and enjoy the summer!

You make have noticed that some are panicking whilst others of us are not <ok>
 
I'm old. Not panicking.

Higuain hasn't got anywhere else to go. He doesn't want to go to a big money club and risk spending another 3 years on the bench, because the manager or owner takes a notion.

If he does, he is an idiot and we don't want him. I want players here that want to be here, not bloody mercenaries who want to come only because we offer wads of cash. Not impressed with what I am hearing out of their camp right now.

He needs to say a few nice things about Arsenal, rather than fluttering his eyelids at the Italian giants.
