I'm mixed on it, bit too pop imo. But that brings in the readys so I can't knock him. I'm liking about half the album. I even like Pop Boy tune, probably the best tune on the album actually.
I’ve has it on all week in the car, all artists will go that way one they reach the top, cos nobody believes they’re on the street any more. Dre has to move away from all of that after The Chronic and NWA for example. I was listening to some earlier stuff from Eminem over Christmas, how differently he used to go hard in his verses, 2nd verse in this one for example.... Now when he goes hard it’s all about the complexity of the lyric being layered and the way he delivers it. Clever MC, he’d destroy anybody who come for him.
Eminem is so clever, not a lot of people realise just how clever his lyrics are. He's without question the best lyricist hip hop/rap has ever had, and likely to ever have. I get why some people don't like his music but to deny him as the best ever is impossible. He's currently mid beef with Nick Cannon. Tbf people like MGK have got huge since his eminem beef, and others will try too. You ain't beating him though, not even on 4 bars. No one would beat him. Haters will carry on hating though.
That’s the problem his adversaries have, they don’t understand what he can do with a pen. He’s not killing them with guns or a crew of gangstas and that is what makes them get even more mad. The only time he never destroyed a foe for coming for him was Royce Da 5’9” and that’s because he wanted to squash it and make peace. That Nick Cannon stuff is funny.
I like a lot of Eminem’s stuff. Better than that mumbling **** my son listens to, although he also likes Eminem.
Yeah the Royce stuff has all paid off, they're tight as **** now iirc. Royce even joined SlaghterHouse, but not sure if the beef was before or after that? That slaughterhouse is an interesting one, how can a super group like that with eminem leading it fail like it did. A mystery, or just too many egos. Not sure tbh. All I know is the album fell off a cliff.
Yeah Royce and Em do that BME stuff and he does that PRhyme stuff with Premier which is very decent as well. Slaughterhouse didn’t click, I think the Budden beef was a fall out of that failure, it just always looked wrong. D12 was sort of successful but that went bump with Proof.
I like this youngen called SL. Nice chilled flow compared to most new UK artists. This Mad about Africa freestyle is tight, although part 2 is better than part 1. Part 2 starts at 01:35
I found this remix when looking for a biggie track, it’s not too bad tbh, I normally don’t like remixes but them bars from Biggie are on another planet.
