There seems to be proof that 41 people were alive after 3.15pm - and could have been saved.

Why was there only one ambulance in the ground - and the remainder just parked up outside?

Can't blame it all on The Filth (but they certainly lived up to the nickname!).

its not murder, but whoever made the decision to not let any ambulances in is halfway to manslaughter...

Mr Tickler is in no way liable, you are talking rubbish as per usual. You really do come out with some pathetic stuff.

Tragic incident that could have so easily been averted. But 23 years have passed, and not one shrieking squeeling scouser has come out of this with a shred of dignity. Many far worse incidents have occured in the time that preceeded Hillsborough with much less coverage. Tragic event made x10 more important due to the city of the victims.

I realise this opinion will not be popular.

The OB made some dreadful mistakes and the cover up is nothing short of scandalous. That's a given.

However, the way I see it is that this report will never eradicate the notion that some Liverpool fans were partly to blame. Not in my eyes anyway.

I've been to enough games and have sat in the Leppings Lane end and I'm just not having it that it was purely down to poor policing.

So you wouldn't seek justice (no matter how long it took) if a loved one died in a tragedy like this, which was caused by police negligence, who then altered evidence to make it look like it was caused by drunk fans breaking down the gate. Even when fans of your team were falsely accused of robbing and urinating on the dead during the unfolding of the tragedy, you still wouldn't seek justice? Then you are spineless.

I have been told by a police officer who was on horseback that day that he saw with his own eyes liverpool fans taking the wallets of other liverpool fans while they lay on the floor. So no I'm not spineless I'm just passing my opinion.

    Is that aimed at me?

    No, I'd seek justice alright.

I'd want everyone who played some part bringing to account and that includes the fans who's behaviour contributed to this tragedy.

That've got off scott free in my eyes.

No it was actually aimed at Kevin Francis, and his "shrieking squealing scousers" comment, which I assume means the way they have been banging on about Hillsborough. Surely today you can understand why they have not let it lie until now? But I'd like to know in what way you think the fans' behaviour contributed to this?

I don't think there can be any doubt that a large group of well tanked up football fans on a nice Spring afternoon were part of the problem. They're part of the problem every Saturday at every football ground. It's the OB's job to manage it - they didn't. One of them ordered an exit gate to be opened FFS. An Exit Gate. No one checking the tickets to make sure the genuine number got in, no turnstiles to hold up the flow. Just a mass flooding in to a full enclosed pen. No one with a shred of sense would have allowed it.

What would have happened had the exit gates been opened at the KC by gates 1-5 when we played Brighton in August during all the turnstile trouble? I'm not saying we'd have had a Hillsborough - but there would have been serious consequences, and people likely as not would have been injured in the surge. That's why it never would be. But at Hillsborough it was. And then, when the **** hit the fan, the medics weren't allowed to help. And then their only thought was to cover the situation up.

However imperfect a group of football fans are - I can't see how they can be responsible for this. The 96 who died to the best of my knowledge were not the late arrivals - they were the well prepared ones who were in the ground early and at the front. They deserved to be protected by the police.

I don't know why this sticks with me - but it does. Hull City were defeated 3-2 by Liverpool in the 1988-89 FA Cup. Had we kept two of their goals out, we would have been a sixth round fixture against 3rd Division Brentford away from being at Hillsborough ourselves. How many City fans would have gone to our first FA Cup Semi-Final? That could have been our fans - and you're not telling me we wouldn't have made just as much noise as the Scousers have if we felt that we had been the victims of a cover up. Hell, half of our fans fly off the handle if someone dares to call us Hull.

The thing that really highlights the attitude of the police during this tragedy is the line of approx 200-300 officers across the halfway line as fans are attempting to save lives! Uppermost in their priority is preventing the possibility of Forest fans coming into contact with Liverpool fans. Did none of them actually think for themselves and consider trying to help save lives! The police attitude towards football fans at this time was appalling and at some grounds has not improved much since.

Yes, I do post pro-Liverpool because most of the posts here always lay blame to them regardless of the topic, which I find stupid.

I hate Man United always have always will; hence my anti-United posts.

I support City and support no Premiership club.
