The main thing I remember about Pompy was in the 1st premiership season when I'd just emerged at the back corner of the stand having been to the luxury of the gents (which they must have transported from Boothferry Park), seeing Glen Johnson about to take (what I thought would be a wild swing with his left boot) a shot and it resulting in goal of the season! Glad they scored the 90th minute own goal to make it 2-2! Oh no wait a minute, did Deano try to claim that!
Well you go in through the front door into the hall. The turnstile operator is in the living room and you get directed up the stairs. Then they've put a door on the back bedroom that leads to some scaffolding running over from the kitchen extension to the garage roof. Once you've crossed the garage roof there's another wall with a gap in it, through the gap and you find yourself at the back of the stand, that based on the legroom has been borrowed from somebody's Subuteo set.
I was there on sat class away day free train fair there an back decent pubs to drink in, only down side was when we got to hillsboro we couldn't get a beer at half time when everybody was behaving perfectly well, we had a bit of banter chanting we want beer. Then the ob came up the stairs "showing authority" so some fans decided to tell them what they thought. Then they decided to bat a few people nothing more nothing less....
