I was going to say Dave, pension aside, surely changing witness statements for a public inquest is illegal? In this narrow area surely his retiring is irrelevant? Is it not the same offence as if you did it in court?
If he wriggles out of facing criminal charges as many Liverpool supporters as possible should take civil action against the **** and he'd spend most of what's left of his rotten existence in the county court.
I'm certainly no lawyer and I'm often amazed at how barristers appear to be able to convince courts and judges that black is actually white. However, we do know that he was one of the chief instigators of the cover-up and whilst he personally may not have changed the text of a statement or even touched an individual document that was 'amended' he is culpable as one of the leading officers. My thinking goes like this. SWP put on public record by submitting documents to both the Coroners Court and various inquiries that had been knowingly falsified. Therefore they had committed a crime. So in essence - yes I agree with you. 6D's Norman Bettison can never suffer enough for what he knowingly did.
Very moving documentary. The Bbc at its best - very proud to be a scouser. The ****ers picked on the wrong city. Please take 5 mins to sign if you haven't done so, this is above club rivalry. This is justice. And this ****er needs some justice serving. http://t.co/VkhCg5YiyB
I watched this, it was a moving and a emotional documentary, i hope the families that lost loved ones get the justice they deserve, they should'nt give up.
Obviously I've signed. Generally, the documentary was good, but I think there a few too many dramatic pauses which could have been used more fact. However, I cried. Bettison is one evil bastard.
