    Best moment - being at Wembley to see Spurs win FA cup in 81, 3-2.

    Worst memory, that night against Benfica in 62. I saw it on telly and it was the first time football broke my heart. Worse, as the years went by, it becomes ever clearer that the best chance I've ever had of seeing us win the EC/CL was that season all those years ago. It's the closest we've come in 50 years, I doubt that I've got another 50 years on this planet and so it's probably the closest we'll get in my lifetime. As Billy Nick said, we'd have beaten Real Madrid in that final (as Benfica did 5-3), so close to such glory, so far away since.

    I was living/studying in Sheffield at the time. Annoyingly, a couple of the Blackburn fans were on my course...
