Maybe. But how many assertions are made by single scientists then proven to be incorrect later on? It's not as though this "Irish race" business is a widely accepted theory is it? I'm sure there are plenty of weird and wacky ideas out there, you just believe this one because it fits your patriotic viewpoint.
No, I haven't. This goes back to another thread, where we were arguing whether or not sectarianism can be classed as racism. Obviously you didn't see it. And I wasn't wrong in the 1st place. There is no such race as English, Italian, Greek, Russian etc
you know this whole issue of race seems completely superfluous when you consider that we are all made up of molecules that have been in existence since the dawn of time ( or thereabouts ) and these same molecules have passed through - in fact constituted everyone in our human history from , well , you name it , ghengis khan , nero , pythagoras, da vinci ( pure tim btw ) moses , cleopatra , shakespeare , shakespeares sister.........the list is obviously just about endless ; its just like paul mccartney said.. ebony and ivory live together in perfect harmony side by side on my piano keyboard , oh lord , why dont we
I don't recall anyone saying we were discussing sectarianism, and no one said calling someone a "Catholic bastard" was Racist.
Eh? You said it could easily be argued that its racist just two posts back! Classic RebelBhoy deflection tactics, he's learning from the pro...
Somebody mentioned the FARE thread, that's how this little discussion stated on this thread. On the FARE thread we argued about the labelling of secretarianism as "racist" (hence FARE's involvement). I said that it could be called racist. Again it's just semantics. Strictly speaking, calling someone a Scottish **** is not racist because there is no such race. But in the eyes of the law, it would be categorised as a racist insult.
It was like this on the old 606 though, you'd have a thread where someone made a relevant, intelligent point and it'd get 7 or 8 replies. Then you'd have something like "Gerrard>Lampard- Discuss" or "Rooney>Torres- Discuss" which would get hundreds.
